| Full payment is due as indicated on
each trip itinerary. Payment may be made by cash (accepted in person
only), check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express,
or Discover). Please be aware that space on a trip is not assured
until funds have been properly transferred.
Make checks payable to Ubiquity International.
If a check is returned by the bank, a returned check fee will be
assessed in the amount of $35.00.
Check payments should be sent to:
Ubiquity International
PO Box 21265
Piedmont, CA 94620-1265
To use a credit card for payment, please complete
the Credit Card Payment Authorization
form (in Adobe Acrobat format). Note that you may
combine payment types. If a credit card is not approved, UI will
notify you and ask for alternative payment.
Payment Schedule
For all tours, a deposit of $1000 must accompany
the Preliminary Application. The final payment must be made
by the Final Payment due date. That date is shown on each tour
page and is generally 90 days prior to departure. There are
exceptions, however, so you should always check the tour page.
Refund and Cancellation
Please note that UI designs trips many
months in advance of departure. UI reserves the unqualified right
to alter, amend, or cancel such trips and to make adjustments
to the trip cost prior to departure in order to meet unanticipated
contingencies, including any change in transportation costs,
program costs, international exchange rates or lack of participation
in the program without liability for refund.
Refunds for credit card purchases are made to the credit card. Cash or check
refunds are made by check; please allow 30 days to process these refunds.
Participants may withdraw from the UI program
at any time, but must do so in writing. UI suggests sending such
letters by Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested. Telephone
cancellations will not be accepted. Notification by fax and/or
Email are also acceptable, but must be followed up in writing via
the U.S. postal service.
Refunds are based on date of withdrawal, as determined
by the U.S. Post Office "postmark" on the withdrawal
letter. Persons canceling will receive a refund as indicated below.
Allow a minimum of 30 days for processing. No exceptions will be
made.
Cancellation by you: If you cancel before final payment due date, you will receive a refund of payments minus $500; after that date, no refund is available (however, depending on the circumstances, the Travel Insurance may cover you). You
should examine the information on Travel Insurance and the documentation
you received thoroughly. |
